Watercolor

I did not like this project as much as I thought I would this was a lot more difficult than expected. I do not feel very successful on this project due to the sloppiness and not very well mixed colors. The idea worked well for this project, but the colors did not work well together here. If I were to do this over I would change the color pallet and make the colors flow more. The most difficult part was putting to much color in one spot. I learned brush strokes and time will make a project better or worse.

Character Skeleton

My overall thoughts on this piece is that i loved doing this project I have always wondered the characters that I have seen on TV looked like if they had structures like us. I overall feel pretty successful on this piece because I put a lot of time into it and lots of detail. The actual character worked, but the skeleton was more difficult and I had trouble trying to make it fit its shape. If I would do this project over again I would not make any changes I think its good as it is. The most difficult part was the skeleton and trying to make it fit the shape. I learned that there is more than meets the eye when it comes to animation.

Cell

I thought this project was cool because we got to see how animation cartoons are made and we got to start our own.I feel pretty successful on this piece because I got to create my own character and I feel I did well on the painting. The backdrop and character worked well together, but the size difference made it so it had to be shrunk. I would have added some more detail if I were to do this project over again. The most difficult part was trying to create as much detail as possible because detail is everything. I learned how animation characters were made and how important detail is.

Letter form #2

This piece made me think of how you can create new objects and shapes by using other shapes and stuff. I overall feel pretty good on this project because of my letter choice. The combination of the letters worked well here, but the paint strokes were kind of blotchy and messy. If I were to do this project again I would take my time on the paint strokes to make more straitened lines instead of blotchy. The most difficult part was the overlapping and trying to make it flow in which in this case it does not. I learned better brush strokes and taking your time can make or break a piece of art.

Scavenger Hunt

My overall thoughts on this piece are good thoughts I felt this strained my shading skills to the limit and truly tested me as an artist. I feel overall pretty successful on this piece due to the organization of the items and the extensive shading I put into it. The organization worked well on this piece, but I could have done some things differently on the shading there needed to be a little bit more light parts. If I were to do this again I would go a bit lighter with the shading in some parts. The most difficult part of this project was the shading and trying to make it light and dark this was due to my lack of skill with shading. I learned how important shading is and how it brings more life to the piece.

Letter Absract

My Overall thoughts on this piece are that I did pretty well choosing the letter shaping and the format. There could be some improvement on the painting job other than that I think it is a good piece of art work. I feel overall successful for this project I put a lot of time into it and focused on how it shaped . The lettering format worked well with this project, but the painting could have been better I need more strait lines across the border. If I were to do this project over again I would do a better job on painting it and making it look strait on the borders instead of blotchy. The most difficult part about this project was trying to keep the paint in the lines and making it flow nicely with the shape of the letter. I learned that while painting in such a narrow area it is best to have strait border lines and make it look like it flows.

Doodles

I liked doing this project I felt like I could draw whatever I wanted too, not to mention it's like doodling in other classes. I do not feel very successful with this piece it is not one of my best doodles due to that I had artist block and I did it awful fast. The bricks and the shading worked nicely here, but everything else looks kind of messy. If I were to do this over I would start from scratch and take more time and effort on this piece. The cactus doodle was the most difficult part of this project because it dealt with a lot of precision and took a lot of time to do and I fell I could do better.  I learned time will bring out the most of your art and show your true potential.

Clay sculptures

This piece was tons of fun to do,but it took awhile to complete. I thought I did overall well on this piece it looks very nice. I think this due to that it took a ton of my time and that i can use it around the house. The coiling worked well on this project,but the smoothing process took a bit longer than what I wanted. If I were to do this project again I would make it a little bit taller and I would adjust the handle a bit too. The most difficult part was trying to smooth the inside of the mug my hands could not fit and the tools would sometimes scratch the sides. I learned it takes time to make such simple things such as a mug and that the more time you put into it the more it means to accomplish something.

Color Wheel

 My opinion is that this project was fun to complete. Although I do think I could have done better on this project. I feel that I did overall well on this piece but the brush strokes could have been better this is due to my lack off wrist action involved in the brush strokes. The color coordination worked overall well on this project. The brush strokes did not work out so well you can tell it looks blotchy. I would consider to take more time and let the paint flow better instead of being blotchy if I were yo do this project again. The hard part of this project was trying to keep the paint inside the lines of the wheel and to make sure colors did not mix this was due to the type of brush and how it got more narrow. I learned that I need to work on my brush strokes and that use the right brush for the right job.

My overall thoughts on this piece is that it is good but not perfect there are some modifications that need to be done now that I look at it. I feel pretty like I did a pretty good job but I could have done better with this project. The three dimensional affects of the letters worked great on this piece, but the color coordination did not work as well as I hoped the colors don't blend like I wanted they clash. If i would do this project over again I would change my color coordination and make the colors blend together instead of clash. I would say the most difficult part about this piece was trying to make the letters fit on the page and to make the lines strait. I learned that I need to experiment with colors and figure out which goes best with which,also that I need to work on the proportional size of the letters.
